Ok so about 15mins ago i posted 1star by accident (im not great with technology) unless 1 star means first class ! I love this place. Grew up here, the best childhood i could i have asked for....as i am in my late 30s it speaks volumes that i am still here...great family, fabulous location and an amazing getaway. Thank you for all my memories look forward to making many more. Love you guys. X
Lovely basic chalet with everything you need for self catering set in idyllic countryside just a 5 minute walk from hamstley forest and all its attractions. Carol the host was very welcoming and helpful even bringing a Shetland pony to our chalet for my two children to groom even taking them through the stages of grooming. Would recommend a stay to anyone who is wanting a nice quite break or a fun packed countryside activity weekend
Ridden at West Hoppyland for years, and nowhere compares to it, having the forest so close is ideal - a fantastic trek, from the yard through the beautiful forest, down into the rivers where the horses can splash and have a cool down and up across the moors (an area of outstanding natural beauty!'. Excellent surroundings and beautiful horses. You can't go wrong here if you're looking for a fun ride out in the countryside.
Myself and my husband have been coming here for over 7 years now. It feels like home. My little boy loves the outdoors and this is ideal as it's a very safe environment for him. We love the peace and tranquility. Carol is a fabulous host and nothing is too much trouble. For me, I love being able to go out riding and being in the middle of nowhere. There's nothing quite like it.
