The tea room is a really nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee and a piece of cake. The gift shop, has a lovely assortment of gifts, reasonably priced. All in all a good shopping experience.

The Dales Centre is made up of several small businesses including shops and a cafe - also a local vet has a surgery there. It's easy to access, with a car park close by which includes a couple of blue badge parking spaces. There is a ramp so wheelchair users can easily go down to the lower area. There is a lovely small garden area as well. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Upper Weardale.
